I've had 250 games or so to fine tune all of the shots and make it shoot smoothly, but then again, I have an early run game from a small manufacturer, so this is to be expected to a certain degree. This game will need some tweaking out of the box. I think that the skill it takes to penetrate deep into the game is sky high and that might not appeal to casual gamers.Īs others have said, the Standard version is the same as Blood Suckers minus the powdercoat so my review is the same as the BSE. Would I play it again? Yeah.but I'd play other machines before I touched it. ![]() The lighting is excellent and the light shows are outstanding. I don't need toys and gimmicks, mind you, it's just that it seems like the table lacks a bit of personality. It feels overly simplistic, much like Danesi's TNA. For a property such as this, it's surprising that there aren't really any toys for this machine. The main issue I have is that there isn't much going on with the playfield. The bass from the speakers is awesome and really immerses you in the action. Scott Danesi serves up a wicked, throbbing, industrial remix of the Rick & Morty theme which sounds like the work he did for TNA. It's funny but I can imagine that it might get old once you've heard the same jokes once or twice. The audio is right on with Rick not BS'ing, telling the player how terrible they are and insulting them. Think the "Twilight Zone" or "TRON Legacy" scoops, but with a lot less notice and time. Also, when the game spits your ball back at you, be ready because it literally comes out of a portal right next to an inlane, which makes your first drain amusing as hell - but annoying when you're not immediately recalling what happens before that occurs. The shots, while not impossible to make, are difficult if you don't have the skill to make them. A casual gamer will hit start and laugh at the one-liners and insults from Rick, but after three quick drains, I'm not quite sure they'd be willing to pump quarters into this sucker anymore. ![]() Here are my impressions so far: you need to be GOOD at pinball to play this game. I was overjoyed to play another Scott Danesi joint and I didn't get much time on it.
